In the story Why the Sky is Far Away"  which iis a Nigerian folktale , it is explaining that the sky once hung close to the earth. It provided  edible, delicious pieces for people who never had to farm. Due to human greed and wastefulness, the sky grew angry and moved far away, requiring people to work for their food
