Dr Prashant Kumar Mishra, currently the Vice Chancellor of Northeast's Leading Private University, Assam's Jorhat-based Kaziranga University; also the Co-Founder of Bhubaneswar's KIIT.Born in 1965, Dr.P.K.Mishra, obtained his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar, with Research Experience from Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Mumbai and Saha Institute of Nuclear Chemistry, Kolkata.He is the Co-Founder of KIIT in Bhubaneswar and has held some very senior level position like Pro-Chancellor of KIIT Deemed University. He has been involved with KIIT from the day of its inception in 1992 and has been instrumental in the growth of KIIT with 12 students and 2 staff members in 1992 to a Deemed University in 2004 with 1500 students and 2000 staff members.He has also co-founded Knowledge Trust in 2006 with some of his friends from U.S. to venture into quality engineering education in the state of Odisha. Knowledge Trust has established a State-Of-Art Engineering College in Bhubaneswar in the name and style “TempleCity Institute of Technology and Engineering” – TITE with present student strength of 1200.Dr. Mishra is associated with Infinity Group, Kolkata to assist them in establishing the “University of Corporate Excellence” in the state of Odisha and “Knowledge City” in Bhutan.Dr Mishra has been instrumental in establishing Don Bosco University, the first private University of Assam, as a Consultant.Currently, Dr. Mishra is associated with NEKF - North Eastern Knowledge Foundation as the President under the aegis of which the third and the largest private university in the name of Kaziranga University (KU) has been established in Jorhat, Assam. The University has enrolled over 400 students in its first year itself. It has signed a number of MoU’s with some of the best known universities of UK like the Cardiff Metropolitan University, Plymouth University and the University of Cambridge-ESOL program.
