Dalit comes from the Sanskrit word meaning broken or scattered. In India it refers to people belonging to the lowest caste, characterised as Untouchable
This episode explores equality and the importance of education. It's about how the Hindu caste system carries on over continents and how it can affect young minds. It is my personal experience of being a Dalit as a modern British Indian girl.
