Identity is everything.  We give things identity when we name them, or describe their functions. People bear names for identity purposes. Its a terrible thing for one to have no knowledge of their identity. When a person loses identity,  they lose their language, their name, their appearance, even their confidence in their abilities diminishes . A believer in Christ is effective in the walk of salvation when he or she knows his or her identity in Christ.
