  • Episode 56 - Gratitude During The Holidays (And Everyday...Really!)

In this episode I express my gratitude for so many things in my life experience and offer suggestions for being aware of and expressing the best parts of your day, each and every day.
This supports living a life of gratitude and thankfulness which, IMHO, the best way to live.

If you need support this holiday season - contact me or Ashara. Our website link:
    harmonysheartcoaching.com

This is the quote of the week from Pema Chödrön

    The Path of Bodhi
When the world is filled with evil, transform all mishaps into the path of bodhi.
Whatever problems occur in your life, instead of reacting to them in the usual habitual way, you could transform them into the path of the bodhi heart. That is to say, you could awaken your compassionate and open heart. Use the tonglen approach and breathe in the pain of the situation, wishing that all beings could be free of it. Then breathe out and send loving-kindness to all suffering beings, including yourself!

    Excerpted from:

The Compassion Book: Teachings for Awakening the Heart

    by Pema Chödrön, pages 22–23

  • Episode 54 - New Gig pt2, Summit and Gestalt Groups

In this episode I discuss the joys of returning to the workforce, attending an annual gathering of Gestalt coaches at Summit, and starting up a new Gestalt Group.

Want to know more about the Gestalt Group?

This is the message I read in this episode:

The sage awakes to light in the night of all creatures.

That which the world calls day is the night of ignorance to the wise.

The Bhagavad Gita says that, and it is right. This scripture

means that when all creatures are living in the illusion of darkness,

the sage sees things as they really are, and awakes to that vision,

    praising the perfection.

Conversely, what the world calls "day" (or "bright" or "real") is

an illusion...the "night of ignorance"...to the wise person

who sees how pointless and worthless the shiny stuff

of life that most people seek truly is.

Peer deeply into the darkness, then, and you will see the light.

Yet turn away from the brightness of what others call "day",

for they mistake the bright for the good.

    Thanks for listening!

  • Episode 51 - Glenn's Online Radio Interview and Tribute to Charlie Watts

In today's episode, I talk about an interview I did earlier today on Chat and Spin Radio,  www.chatandspinradio.com , a UK-based NOT FOR PROFIT Internet Radio Station.  COOL!

Next, I pay tribute to a drummer who will be missed, Mr. Charlie Watts. He was the subtle, stoic heartbeat of The Rolling Stones for almost 60 years. He was first and foremost a jazz drummer who found the "dark side" of rock 'n' roll through Mick Jagger and Keith Richards.

This is one of many tributes from other musicians:
"As much as Mick's voice and Keith's guitar, Charlie Watts's snare sound is the Rolling Stones," Bruce Springsteen once wrote. "When Mick sings, 'It's only rock 'n' roll but I like it,' Charlie's in back showing you why!"

Listen to the intro on Get Off Of My Cloud - brilliant!
