The University of Sharjah (UOS) received a delegation from the Research Centre for Islamic History, Art, and Culture (IRCICA) of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Turkey, to explore opportunities for academic and research collaboration. The delegation was welcomed by Prof. Hamid M.K. Al Naimiy, UoS Chancellor. The delegation consisted of Prof. Mahmud Erol Kilic, Director General of the Centre, and Prof. Cengiz Tomar, Head of Research and Publication Department. The visit was organized by the Sharjah International Foundation for the History of Muslim and Arab Sciences (SIFHAMS).

The UOS’s Chancellor warmly welcomed the delegation, emphasizing the University’s commitment to achieving its strategy in accordance with the vision of the founder of the University of Sharjah, His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, whose vision is now being implemented by Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and President of UOS, by developing and supporting the educational process to serve the local society .
