Rob Campbell is this week’s guest and is here to talk all about force plate technology. Rob is the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Detroit Red Wings with prior experience at the New York Mets and St. Louis Blues and gives some terrific analysis on how to meld technology with the art of coaching to get the best results for his athletes.

We discussed the high-performance model being implemented by the Red Wings and the different variables you can obtain from force plate testing. Rob details what these variables mean and what implications they could have upon exercise selection and training. Rob also talks about the various qualities different groups of players tend to have and how to best potentiate the right qualities. He had some great insight on gameday lifting and also shared advice on how young coaches can advance their career.
