For this recording I was asked to provide an image that played into the sonic narrative of the mix. I chose a photo I shot in the Arashiyama forest in Kyoto. This photograph always brings me back to a vivid moment in which time stood still and I simply enjoyed the present. It allowed for making a mix in isolation ever so much more enjoyable. No matter how abrasive or gentle, music shares so many similarities with the textures, colors, shapes, and movements of more organic entities.
