The latest "renderings" for the proposed site in Las Vegas were released today and they're...exactly what you'd expect at this point. To discuss today's renderings we're joined by Melissa Lockard from The Athletic and to discuss the history of A's renderings, we're joined by Carl Moren (AsFanByDesign).
The Nevada State Education Association doesn't want the A's to build a stadium in Las Vegas with any public money and they're preparing a fight to block those funds approved by the legislature. How will it work? Will it work at all? Today we spoke with Alexander Marks, the Director of Strategy for the NSEA to hear more of the plan and the potential directions they're willing to go.
Dave Kaval broke his Twitter silence to use a tragedy as an "I told you so" moment and it received the response from A's fans that it deserved. Then he spoke with Shayna Rubins and launched his history revisionist tour to little acclaim. Here are Tony's thoughts on the man, the myth, the carnival barker, Dave Kaval.
What was intended to be a big group show where we all shared our stories of A's fandom without bringing up Kaval and Fisher turned into just another A's Fan Roundtable about Kaval and Fisher but it's a good chat and except for one person who is probably getting us banned from YouTube, it's worth a listen. Enjoy.

A special session was called in Las Vegas, Dave Kaval had a short circuit in front of the senate, and John Fisher is back in Oakland touring the Raiders' old practice facility. It has been quite the week for the Oakland Athletics and not a particularly good one. We'll be chatting about all of that and trying to stay up to date with any hearings happening concurrently.
Today we discussed the joint session to hear arguments for the Athletics' Nevada legislation, the absurdity of a 4:00 game time, and we have our first Robespierre of the podcast...or possibly any podcast ever.

It's a rare solo episode of Uprooted From Oakland where Tony discusses the new (ridiculous) renderings and the legislation which was presented to Nevada during the recording! To continue the discussion, visit Hero Habit and join our Uprooted from Oakland discussion group.
It's been a week since our last roundtable and nothing has really changed but news has been constant and ever-flowing. Today we talk about Dave Kaval, John Fisher, and the embarassing manner in which they have run the A's organization and the stadium project. Plus, the mayor of Oakland says Howard Terminal is ready and Las Vegas says they won't say yes to so much money.

There's no shortage of news regarding the Athletics potential move to Las Vegas. In today's episode we call Dave Kaval out on his hypocrisy and get updated on the shell game the A's appear to be playing with Las Vegas politicians.

Today Tony is joined by Benjamin (Shakabrodie) and NorCalNodders to discuss the A's move to Vegas, bobbleheads, and a contract most A's fans probably never knew existed.
