Uprooting Covert Sins - Anger

This week we talked about anger. Anger isn't always a negative thing. Even Jesus got angry. But anger becomes a covert sin when the motives of anger are of a negative nature or it comes from a place of selfishness. If your anger is due to sin, injustice, wrong policies, corruption, etc. then this type of anger is not wrong. Your response to anger is even more important because you can be angry but not lash out. Make sure to assess WHY you are angry. 

Be humble in your anger and do not be impulsive. Also, focus on the action not the actor. Sometimes we tend to be angry at the person and not at the act they committed. We talk about practical ways of overcoming anger and the proper response when we are angry. We also talk about how to deal with anger we have towards ourselves because sometimes this is even a bigger issue that anger at other people.
