🏺🧩 Retour sur la présentation de la maquette et de la frise mythologique lors du Festival Européen Latin Grec au Lugdunum - musée et théâtres romains ce samedi 21 mars 2026.
🏛️ Cette année, les élèves de 5e LCA du Collège Alexis Kandelaft ont concrétisé un projet ambitieux de reconstitution d’une ville romaine en maquette.
🏛️ Maisons, thermes, temples, forum, amphithéâtre… tout a été imaginé , construit et décoré à partir d’un travail pédagogique de recherche sur l’architecture des Romains : l’objectif ? Faire revivre une cité antique au cœur du collège ! Les élèves ont mené l’enquête, cherché, comparé, débattu, puis donné forme à leur cité idéale, mêlant recherche historique, créativité et travail d’équipe.
🏛️ Ce travail s’inscrit dans la continuité de notre précédent grand projet : la Frise de la Mythologie, réalisée sur deux ans par les latinistes et hellénistes de 3ème LCA en 2025 et qui a permis d’explorer les récits fondateurs de la culture gréco-romaine.
Un projet interdisciplinaire proposé par Olivier Charnay, enseignant de Lettres Classiques, et Cécile Veilleux, enseignante d’Arts Plastiques.

🏺🧩 A look back at the presentation of the model and the mythological frieze during the European Latin and Greek Festival at Lugdunum—Roman Museum and Theaters—on Saturday, March 21, 2026.
🏛️ This year, the 7th-grade LCA students at Alexis Kandelaft Middle School brought to life an ambitious project to recreate a Roman city as a model.
🏛️ Houses, baths, temples, the forum, the amphitheater… everything was designed, built, and decorated based on educational research into Roman architecture: the goal? To bring an ancient city to life right in the heart of the school! The students conducted research, searched, compared, debated, and then brought their ideal city to life, combining historical research, creativity, and teamwork.
🏛️ This project builds on our previous major initiative: the Mythology Frieze, created over two years by the Latin and Greek students in the 9th-grade LCA class of 2025, which allowed them to explore the foundational narratives of Greco-Roman culture.
An interdisciplinary project proposed by Olivier Charnay, a teacher of Classical Literature, and CĂ©cile Veilleux, a teacher of Visual Arts.
