Zahid Hassan Waseem popularly known by his pen name Waseem Barelvi. He was born in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. He has published lots of books and his ghazals were even sung by Jagjit Singh. He is extremely popular in mushairas and is revered by all the contemporary poets. Has been bestowed with lots on national and international awards.
