It takes making “bad decisions” sometimes to become an empire builder. CPA, MBA, author Ursula Garrett(builds empires one asset at a time) revealed she grew up poor in the south, was a teen mom, chose marriage over taking the college scholarship she was given, joined the military (traded her pumps for combat boots),when in the seat of her heart she was an entrepreneur!

Empire building as you work a job
Ursula took local college courses preparing. As an employee, she stayed for 2 ½ intentional years, long enough to get her CPA license – work your job intentionally, have a plan.
2 kinds of employees discussed. 1 is the person that stays on a job long enough to retire (50’s, 60’s) the kids are taken care of and out, now it’s time to become an entrepreneur, The other really doesn’t want to work for anyone but when they do, they expect to make a lot of money with minimal skill set – this person moves from job to job, get rich scheme to another – this employee worries Ursula. They need grounding before becoming an entrepreneur.
While you are an employee, save money! When you get a raise, save & invest. Wealth and businesses built systematically.
