According to NBC News, United States government officials recently came forward regarding claims that Russia would launch a chemical weapons attack in Ukraine, that Russia was seeking to procure weapons from China, and that Russia was planning a "false flag" attack. According to US officials, each of these claims were part of an "information war" to "get ahead of Russian propaganda."
