Front Porch Politics podcast will dive into the current events for this week. The United States and China have entered into a trade war. Rashida Tlaib states she has a calm feeling about the Holocaust. The U.S. and China trade wars and Rashida Tlaib has gone Social-Left, both topics will be discussed this podcast for Front Porch Politics.
U.S. and China Trade War
America has entered into a new “cold war” a war for cold hard cash with the Chinese. Beijing has called for a ‘people’s war’ against the US as President Trump threatens tariffs on another $300 billion of Chinese goods in an all-out trade battle.
The United States outlast the Soviets by waiting them out. Folks, Socialism does not work. If we will stick to our guns we will win this. Yes, it may cause some temporary pains. However, if we stick to our “monetary guns” we will win. I guarantee you that China is worried.
We have been taking it on the chin to the tune of $500 billion a year for who knows how long because our leaders wouldn’t stand up to China. It’s the way we buy peace. It’s the way we keep the socialist at bay in China. It is also a way to keep them from getting mad at us.
Chinese media speaks out
In a series of editorials and op-ed articles published Monday, Chinese state media slammed what it labeled the Trump administration’s “greed and arrogance.” Stories published called for a “people’s war” against the tariffs. Beijing’s state-run media effectively serves as a mouthpiece for the Communist Party.
In a statement from the nationalist Global Time, the quote was given: “The most important thing is that in the China-US trade war, the US side fights for greed and arrogance … and morale will break at any point. The Chinese side is fighting back to protect its legitimate interests.”
Pot calling the kettle black
This is the pot calling the kettle black. The Chinese want greed and arrogance as bad as we do. They want to be top dog, and for years we paid for their desires. This has been at the expense of American workers, products, and property. Now we have a President who does not beg for their scraps and they can’t stand it. As a result, we have the current U.S. and China trade war.
The article goes on to say:
“The trade war in the US is the creation of one person and one administration, but it affects that country’s entire population. In China, the entire country and all its people are being threatened. For us, this is a real ‘people’s war.'”
Why America will win
This is because in America the people own businesses. In China the state owns everything. It’s a competition between two different ideas. Capitalism against socialist Communism. We have been here before, and we won. I’m confident we will win the U.S. and China trade war also.
