The U.S. Democratic National Convention is in full swing and the party has reaffirmed its support for Taiwan. The Democratic Party adopted the 2024 party platform on Monday which includes, for the first time, a firm commitment to maintaining peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait and references the Six Assurances to Taiwan.
