In today's whiteboard video I clearly explain the current state of the global oil market that has led to a stand off between the USA, Russia & Saudi Arabia. Oil is one of the commodities most impacted by the global economic slowdown. Many oil companies from explorers to producers are carrying high debt loads & the bonds they have issued could be downgraded to junk status in the coming weeks, collapsing the corporate bond market. This could start a cascade affect leading to a wider stock market crash & worsen the global economic recession.
