Prime Minister Imran Khan was removed from power by the country's parliament. Some evidence points to support from the United States government for toppling Khan's government.  Khan was replaced with Shehbaz Sharif, the younger brother of Nawaz Sharif who served three terms as prime minister of Pakistan.
