The Trump Administration has deployed the US National Guard unrequested for the first time in decades, in response to unrest over immigration raids in LA.

Professor of International Relations, Aiden Warren, told Bill McDonald on 4BC Mornings, "I think it could escalate, but hopefully, cool heads come into the fray and it settles down a little bit."

"It really is an illustration of that gap between Trump being in power and those West Coast governors in Democratic leaning states."
