Samantha Stosur amazed fans with a straight sets victory over Serena Williams, in what was only the Australian's second Grand Slam final. Things got off to a rocky start when Serena caused a stir over a hindrance call, but the action never let up as Stosur put her forehand and serve to good use against the seasoned Grand Slam veteran, resulting in her 6-2, 6-3 victory. Meanwhile, unseeded American Grace Min upset top-seeded Caroline Garcia to win the junior’s title. In doubles, Raymond and Huber stuck it out to defeat defending champions King and Shvedova, 4-6, 7-6, 7-6.
