U.S. Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg: Infrastructure projects, rail safety legislation stalled in Congress, importance of AM radio in cars

Listen Later

WGN Radio’s Dave Plier welcomes Secretary Pete Buttigieg to talk about infrastructure projects in the Midwest and around the country, a year from the East Palestine Ohio train derailment and congress’ failure to pass new legislation, plus Dave and Pete discuss the importance of AM radio in cars. A bipartisan bill currently before the U.S. Senate, the AM Radio for Every Vehicle Act has already passed the Senate Commerce Committee, and it seems likely that legislation will soon be passed to keep AM radio in new vehicles. The act is waiting for full Senate approval.
