Up to 200 US troops have been deployed to Israel as part of a multinational effort to monitor the recently brokered Gaza ceasefire. The American forces will be stationed at an Israeli military base, reportedly the Hatzor Air Base in southern Israel, and will not enter the Gaza Strip.
