The talk heading up to the Olympics was the women's gymnastics dream team. They didn't disappoint as they dominated the all-around team competition, to win Gold. Michael Phelps has become the most decorated swimmer in American history by winning 28 medals. As a country, the United States has tallied 1,000 total gold medals in the summer olympics. As the deep pockets of the United States and other large countries dominate the medal count, smaller countries like Kosovo may appreciate the gold medal that was won in Judo. Those are the feel good stories that many people appreciate.
