USA Up All Night began on January 7, 1989, with Gilbert Gottfried as the host. Later, Rhonda Shear was added as the Friday night host. The series involved the hosts introducing usually B-movies, and skits before and after commercial breaks, that would play for those who were up all night over the weekend.
