A group of nurses from USC Keck hospital and Norris Cancer Center began a 24-hour strike this morning, demanding safer staffing levels, guaranteed rest breaks, and stronger patient safety protections.

California Nurses Association called the strike, which represents about nearly 2,000 USC nurses.
