Hey everyone, welcome to the smash a system podcast. I’m your host, Nino Prodan. And in this episode, I want to talk about motivation. And the motivation killers and fillers the things that fill you fill your motivation up. One of the first things is, being tough on yourself is a total killer. Think about it, you’re trying to do this, to get people to stop telling you what to do. Stop being authoritative towards you. So why do it yourself? You know, you’re working to smash the system. So why recreate it in yourself, build yourself up, don’t tear yourself down. Another killer is being overwhelmed. There’s a few reasons this happens. If you’re looking at the end picture of something and seeing it is too big to achieve. You need to break down your tasks. Break it down into little itty bitty steps that you can take right Now, break it down into next steps. That way, you don’t have to worry about what the step will be next week or whatever. Start taking the steps now and build momentum. Another reason is you might feel like, you can’t do anything you feel disempowered, but I’ll tell you break a big test down into small steps and start taking them. Don’t place an expectation for the results that you get from doing this work. Just do the work. Don’t worry about what you’re going to get from it. build yourself up. Another thing that makes you overwhelmed is focusing on making everybody else happy. And I’ll tell you right now, it’s time to make yourself happy. Look out for yourself. build yourself up, and then you can be there for everybody else. Don’t beat yourself down trying to make everybody happy. I promise you two things. One, you can’t make everybody happy. And two, if you do Try to make everybody happy, you’re not going to get anything from it. Another motivation killer is focusing on tasks focusing on the doing. If you focus on how bad something is, say like washing the dishes, and how much you hate washing the dishes and how it feels gross or dries out your hands or any of that. Then you’re focusing on the wrong thing. Focus on the results of the task, focus on how it’ll feel to have a clean kitchen, how it will look to not have any dishes in the sink. Focus on how you’ll be providing a clean environment for your loved ones. Or another thing is to think about the smile on the face of your significant other when they walk in and see all the dishes done. And here’s a hack for that. If you’re having trouble cleaning dishes, and really can’t see a result, ask them a favor for the next week. Just thank you for doing the dish. Tell them you’re you’re working on it and he need it. So you can be happy doing it. And then when they do thank you for it and they smile at you focus on that smile. Now one filler is to think about the big picture. What will be the impact of you doing this task? will be the impact on your life, what will be the impact on the world? What will be the impact on the people you love? Think about what these small steps will lead up to, in the end. What what big thing are you creating out of taking these small steps? Like I said before, in a previous podcast, small things add up to huge things. So what’s that big thing? focus on that? Future pace it, think about what it’s going to be like in the future. After you’ve done all this work. Who are you going to be how are you going to see the world after you put in all this work after you put in all the practice What’s the reward in the end, focus on that. And if you don’t have a clear enough picture of it, write it out, write out the picture exactly as you want it to be. That way you can focus on it, you can imagine it in your mind. Another filler is to stop fooling yourself into thinking everything’s okay. Because if everything’s okay, why are you here? Now
