Useful Tips to be Faithful in a Faithless World

Listen Later

Creating Our Own Checklists

Are we faithful or just reliable, when it comes to our faith? We are so good as humans at creating things to do, that have nothing to do with what we are trying to accomplish. It is called busy work, right? In religion we do that too. We create these lists of things that we should be doing. They are there to make ourselves feel better. If we at least have these boxes that we can check off, then when we check them off, we can look at our list and say we are accomplishing something.

So, why do we not just do what God wants us to do instead of creating our own lists?

John 14:21 says, “He who has my commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves me…”

When something comes between you and your relationship with God, that thing needs to go away. Whatever it might be, anything that hinders your relationship with God and prevents you from being right with God, it needs to go.

Learning to be Faithful

So, in this podcast I want to help you to understand what it actually means to deny oneself, what we should be doing with our lives, and taking advantage of the opportunities to do good. We will talk about what it truly means to, “take up your cross” and follow Christ. Also, we will be talking about the difference in being faithful and being dependable.

Do you know how to recognize what in your life is coming between you and your relationship with God? How does this change the way you view faithfulness? Would you like to know more about these questions?

With the insights from this episode, you will be able to look at your own life and see if you are faithful or reliable. This episode will encourage you to pursue the life God has planned for you and live your life to the fullest.
