An Adirondack composer spent part of his winter break visiting recent lava flows in Hawaii, as artist-in-residence with the National Parks Arts Foundation. Glenn McClure's goal is translating numerical scientific data into melodies and rhythms, to create what he calls a, “harmonic spirit of place.”
