Unlock Your English

Using SUPPOSE and SUPPOSED TO

Listen Later

Hello and welcome back. Thanks for popping by for another short lesson.

This time I explain the difference between using the verb SUPPOSE and using the expression SUPPOSED TO.

You'll see that suppose can be used to talk about prediction, conjecture and possibilities.

Supposed to can be used to express obligation and responsibility as well as expectation.

I hope you find the lesson useful.
