As NCAA Chief Medical Officer, lends even more credence to why he focuses on the great health benefits of tennis – 9.7 more years of life! With tennis participation skyrocketing, Brian also highlights how it has grown in Hispanic/Latino, Black/African and Asian/Pacific communities. He also supports the need for great sportsmanship and more officials to oversee the game. It’s almost May, which means it’s time for National Tennis Month! USTA Southern Marketing & Public Relations Committee Chair James McKissick talks about NTM and what Southern volunteers are doing to celebrate it. Our NTM events have jumped to 386 events, nearly double our 2022 total. Highlighted are junior Emily Baek, of Suwanee, Ga., and USTA Southern award winners: the 3rd Annual Battle of the Sexes in Columbus, Miss. and the Level 5 open Team Pilot in Ridgeland, Miss.
