Hello Everyone! Welcome back for a special two-hour Friday edition of Kickin It Stateside! The Olympics that were rescheduled from last year kicked off earlier this morning from Tokyo but our USWNT already had a match this week which saw them lose to Sweden 3-0. Yes, we all know the USWNT has dominated the Women’s soccer game for years now. So, was this just a lack of focus and a one-off game or should we be concerned over that poor performance? Let’s talk about it.
Our beloved USMNT on the other hand won the group and has booked a date with Jamacia on Sunday in the Quarterfinals of the Gold Cup! Can the new and improved Reggae Boyz upset the Young Yanks on our home soil? Can the mediocre play from Mexico get them into the Semi-Finals or does Honduras have other plans? Also, who is the favorite in Costa Rica vs Canada?
Lastly, we will look around the world of soccer as transfer season is heating up! The even better news is that the Premier League is only three weeks away! Can Jadon Sancho make an immediate impact at Manchester United? Or will he be another forgotten player on the United bench? Also, the MLS is in full swing! We will peek at the table and give any updates on which teams we like to make a run during the final few months of the season.
