Welcome to the 42nd Episode of Cherry Picking. In this episode we are discussing the mess in football at the moment. With the Everton points appeal results expected but not released, we ask the question - is it fair?

Craig and Mani look at Richard Masters position at the Premier League and ask is it tenable after such as mess of the Toffees situation yet Manchester City and Chelsea wait for punishment which could be a long time into the future. And now Nottingham Forest appear on the radar for Masters and his gang. Are they the next to suffer punishment like the Merseyside club.

We also suggest the Golden Share and ask how will this work. Is it a share transferred between the leagues or is it a share held by a new governing body set up to prevent Financial Fair Play and Profit and Sustainability rules being broken and the powers that could and should be affording to such a governing body if set up.

Could this stop bad owners like Chansiri at Sheffield Wednesday and Yongge at Reading and how can this new body wrestle control.

We also look at the Blue Card suggestion - is it a joke?

AFC Bournemouth travel somewhere special this weekend. That somewhere special is a place that contains Matt Ritchie, Callum Wilson, Sir Jason Tindall and God. Also known as Eddie Howe - the man who without, our football club might not exist, we wouldn't be in the Premier League and without we would have probably had to spend a bit longer in the company of Jimmy Quinn (shudder!)

Eddie did a splendid job last season in the North East getting Newcastle into Europe for the first time in years! It might be a more difficult season this term but Newcastle managed to beat the might of PSG and were robbed in Europe in Paris - quite literally.

We had the pleasure of welcoming on for this show Jon Lane from the leading Newcastle United podcast The True Faith - @tfnufc - to discuss if Eddie is under pressure from Saudi Arabia and what do they expect, Matt Ritchie, Tindall being named Mad Dog and being centre of attention, Callum Wilson and lots more.

Oh we did mention some snake at Southampton. I think his name is Ryan Fraser - we haven't heard of him either...

Dai Yongge remains owner at Reading Football Club (unfortunately). The man who has ruined one of the staples of English football, a club founded back in 1871 continues to destroy the Royals.

Reading FC were a well run football club under Sir John Madejski and Dai Yongge continues to destroy Sir John's legacy as well as those who did so much good at the football club.

We welcomed on Dr Mike Gow - Business and Management Lecturer at Edge Hill University onto the show to discuss Dai's awful reign. Mike specialises in Chinese Business practices and therefore he has the inside look on the Royals awful owner.

AFC Bournemouth are on the road again and this weekend we visit one of our favourite away days - to Craven Cottage to face a Fulham side who have won 5-0 on two occasions and have been electric at times under Marco Silva - although its fair to say they weren't at Dean Court back in December.

We had the pleasure of welcoming onto the show Russ Goldman from the excellent Cottage Talk to find out more about how they have coped with the African Cup of Nations absences, Mitrovic and how Silva will make sure there will not be a repeat.

We also have a surprise reveal with regards to former manager Scott Parker (I can confirm I was wrong in my guess... guesses in the comments) and the Fulham faithful's feelings towards our former manager.

The Cherries are on the road but again we are playing on a Thursday night! Maybe this is something we might have to get use to next season as AFC Bournemouth are looking up at potential European trips in places like Moldova rather than what we were use to all those years ago... a Saturday in Aldershot!

However our opponents are very use to playing on a Thursday. They have been doing so for a while now and even won the Europa Conference League last season which qualified them for the Europa League which they aren't doing bad in, winning their group with one solitary defeat in Greece against them.

We had the pleasure of welcoming on Hammers fan Lewis to discuss our trip to the London Stadium. We remember the days of Upton Park and of course the Cherries first triumph there in the Premier League, our first win!

We also cover off last seasons success for the Hammers but why manager David Moyes is very much a marmite character for the club. Also we look at the signings and review how James Ward-Prowse has done in London. Surprisingly, no free kicks (bad omen for us!)

Following our heavy defeat at home to Liverpool in the Premier League, we are back in cup action against another side from the Championship and this side need no introduction.

The Cherries dispatched of Thursday's FA Cup opponents Swansea City in the Carabao Cup earlier this season but the side now managed by former Notts County manager Luke Williams could well be a different proposition.

We welcomed on another special guest in Matthew Thomas - more famously known as Chickenhead from BBC hit show The Call Centre which focused on Swansea based company Save Britain Money.

Chickenhead goes through his memories of Nev Wilshire and Richard Griffiths - more famously known as Griff - who are sadly no longer with us and were stars alongside our guest. Find out if the car Brent pranged into a bush was actually Chickenhead's.
