John 14:26, But the Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will help you remember everything that I have told you. (AMP)
It is important to know that the Holy Spirit never plays the role of a dictator. When Jesus promised the gift of the Holy Spirit to His disciples, He spoke of Him in terms such as "Comforter”, "Guide”, or "Teacher”. The Holy Spirit always keeps Himself within these limits. He never usurps the will or the personality of the believer. The Holy Spirit does not force, or coerce; He brings freedom, not bondage. We as believers need to cooperate with the Holy Spirit and realise that our total provision is met by His Spirit!
