Blackstone Valley Tech football coach Jim Archibald joins host Tommy Cassell to talk about the upcoming playoff games, what it’s like to have a player break his collarbone in the middle of a game, and the status of the Thanksgiving game.
“Any time you play a sport you want to be the last time standing,” Archibald told Cassell as he was talking about the end of the season.
Valley Tech is 10-0 and won the Division 7 Central sectional title and will play Division 7 West champion Wahconah on Saturday in a Division 7 state semifinal game. The winner will go on to play in the Division 7 Super Bowl at Gillette Stadium.
Archibald has been the head coach since 2011 and his team last won a Super Bowl title in 2012 with a win over Bay Path in the Division 6 Central Super Bowl.
