Value Articulation and Communication Strategy

Listen Later

One recurring theme that we discuss on Always FreyDay is the idea that SMBs, and the employees, who work for them tend to be fixated on products that they believe are going to solve all of their problems. In reality, everything begins and ends with people, and here's the truth: People don’t want your thing; they want what your thing means to them.

Every business has that one powerful message that makes people say YES! However, it can be difficult for business to get that message across.

We are joined by Michael Liebowitz, CEO of Magnetic Mind Studio. Michael helps SMBs get the right message that attracts more of the right customers. He helps businesses find the meaning, behind the message they want to get out to the world.

He shares the experiences and jobs he went through to get to the status he is at today.

Segment 2

Steven introduces the methods part of the show and asks Michael how he develops the strategies he comes up with. Michael explains the neuroscience behind the methods that he uses to reach people. He continues to explain how the brain is wired and what that looks like in everyday life. Michael relates how the brain works by comparing it to the wild where there is a danger and how an animal sees the predator as a treat instead of what it actually is. He uses this to explain how he comes up with the different kinds of communication to best present a person. He applies this to sales and how this can better direct a sale to its consumer. The two talk about the different mistakes that people in sales make. They discuss the difference of perception and what a visual representation can convey. The two talk about differentiation and how that can feature and benefit them until someone recreates it but when differentiation is put into a belief it is hard to copy that directly.

Segment 3

Michael explains how connection is more important then promoting what is offered by a company. When a business offers a product it is easy for another company to offer the same product. It can be the company's beliefs that attract customers and differentiate that company from the competition. Steven talks about a crowded market and asks how Michael helps them differentiate themselves from their competitors. He explains that they need to think in the mind of the customer, he explains that customers buy their reflection of themselves in the product or service. Michael talks about how he does not take clients that he knows will not work well with him, he explains that he does not have hectic stories because he surrounds himself with clients who are ready to communicate with him.

Segment 4

Steven talks about how he sees that when an individual knows so much about something it becomes hard to explain to others. Michael agrees that the deeper you are into a topic the more difficult it becomes to explain to others. He explains that as a messaging expert he had to go to another individual for help to explain his specialty to others because he is too close to it to present it to others in an effective way. Steven talks about articulation towards the individual, and how you can get in your own way when trying to portray your specialty. They talk about how differentiation can help individuals get out of their own way and better explain to a consumer what you are offering. They talk about creating meaningful connections to how your service or product connects to them
