In 2010 I made a promise to myself to be different and think differently - I had no interest in merely being just standard your loan officer.         

I spoke to someone iconic in the marketing business once who told me an interesting fact regarding the hotel business, and thus how he intended to change the standard in that industry. The way the hotel industry operates, any management company can easily transition from running a Marriott to a Red Roof Inn. Take Notice the similarities in all hotel building structures? It's done this way for a reason, so if the owner decides for whatever reason he no longer wishes to operate a Grand Hyatt but rather a DoubleTree, down comes one sign and up goes the next…almost overnight. 

The relationship between the majority of mortgage lenders and realtors they work with can be viewed similarly in many ways. The process for taking an application, prequalifying the prospective buyer and putting the loan into process are found to be pretty boiler plate across most companies – it's why many loan officers can and do move between orginazations, and many agents rarely consider themselves "married" to a lender – and it's no ones fault but our own.

When I decided that I wanted to be more than just your loan officer in 2010, it came from a true desire to provide as much value to the agents I serve as possible. Agents were no longer just agents, you became my partners, and we are proud to describe our relationship as such because of the mutual value being brought to the table. Out of that deep seeded passion for partnership, I engineered what I refer to as my 4 pillars which has now proven to increase my real estate partners sales, productivity and efficiency:

First, to provide you with the most thorough and extensive preapproval process in the industry. Never compromising which allows agents to work in the most efficient manner 

Second, 7/24 – which represents providing my partners with 7 day loan commitments and 24 day closings. This pillar allows my partner to win in a multiple offers situation all the time, which  increases sales

Third, offer a service advantage that mirrors a real estate agents sales process – this meant having a team fully operational 7 days a week from 8am – 9pm every day of the year except for Christmas.

The fourth, to grow together.

The fourth pillar is one that in the last number of months we have sought to invest a tremendous amount of time, money and energy. We now host educational luncheons and events on various topics that provide our partners with a greater depth of knowledge on mortgage products and concepts that can help get the next deal. The luncheons and events were designed with you in mind – they are well organized, timed and efficient – and happen to be held at fantastic eateries such as Capital Grille. Look, I know your time is valuable, so any event or luncheon I invite you to will be jam-packed a ton of great information for you into a regimented time block ensuring maximum value. 

That's why I am so excited to announce our newest educational event for any and all agents looking to get a better understanding of the appraisal process. On August 24th at the Cinemark in Boca Raton, FL from 9:30am – 12:00pm we've invited a senior appraisal expert from Nationwide to be interviewed by myself covering all angles along with a live Q&A. Andy Lazev has personally overseen over 1 million issued appraisals and is excited to come out and discuss a variety of topics including the appraisal ordering process, comparable sales vs adjustments, effective rebuttal process, garage/porch conversions, and of course a live Q&A to make sure everyone has an opportunity to get their questions answered!
