Over the course of several nights, an eight-foot winged creature was seen by multiple distinguished representatives of Van meter, Iowa.  It was unlike anything they had ever seen before to include a blunt horn on its head which emitted a beam of bright light.  There were many attempts to shoot the creature, but it appeared to be unaffected by bullets until the townsfolk and it had their final showdown at the abandoned mine on the edge of town.
