Vandy Football head Coach Derek Mason joined Rick and John. Coach Mason said it has been really wild watching March Madness and keeping up with the highlights. Coach mason thinks the CFB playoffs will eventually expand like college basketball.

Coach mason joked that he feels like an old guy with all the turn over this offseason. He also said some schools need to slow down and let coaches have a little extra time to coach up these young men. Coach Mason told us most of the coaches he knows who were let go landed on their feet. Coach Mason described his QB and what he needs to be competitive this season and feel comfortable in the offense. Coach Mason explained how important it is to have 4th year QB in a West coast offense and mentioned his footwork is key. Coach Mason talked about the new WR’s but said it starts inside with their TE’s. Coach Mason said he has a lot of respect for Kirby Smart and as long as they aren’t playing them he will root for their side of the conference.
