This is an original song I wrote called Vanity of Vanities. I was thinking about how nothing in this world lasts, how you could achieve all of your earthly dreams and then like everyone else, you are met with death. You are forced to leave this world and everything you have built behind. Even things that you have worked for in life lose their sweetness when you are still alive. Ultimately, this world is but a blink next to eternity. The only Kingdom worth investing in is His.
