Hello and welcome to the first episode of the 2nd cycle of A Year & a Day podcast.
This next 13 month cycle will be in praise & exploration of the seasons of women’s lives…and really the lives of all cyclical beings
As we come into the season of spring here in the northern Midwest, in the threshold of the full March, Worm Moon, under the lingering spell of the first lunar eclipse of the year, and with a tentative choir of migratory birds - robins, catbird and kildeer singing I offer a retelling of the Russian/Eastern European fairy tale - Vasilisa the Brave.
For the next 13 months I intend to offer a story around the full moon. Stories in praise of the seasons of womens’ live - stories of maidens, mothers, mages and crones.
Then closer to the new moon there will be a collaboration with some of the wild, wayward and brilliant women folx I hold dear and who’s journey’s have inspired and allied my own.
Enjoy and thank you for your bright listening.
Spring blessings,
Tracy
PS - if you feel called remember to offer something to the story - a bit of cake, a teacup of ale, a song, a ribbon…as a gift to the story.
