In this special live edition of Vienna Design Hour, I’m joined by four emerging type designers from Hungary:

Ádám Asztalos and Bendegúz Batke run their studio Ugly But Useless in Budapest, while Laura Csocsán and János Hunor Vári are currently working out of Lausanne.

Together, we explore a wide spectrum of contemporary type design: from the creative and economic challenges of developing new typefaces, to the realities of the Hungarian design scene, and the question of how to stand out today when so many new foundries are competing for attention.
