Today, we’re coming at you from Vector Space in Lynchburg, Virginia to talk about the makerspace movement. What is a makerspace? Also called a hackerspace, it’s a collaborative space where community members can come together to work on projects in a variety of mediums. During our time at Vector Space, we were given a tour which included viewing their wood shop, forge, sewing / felting area, computer lab, printing press, screen printing studio, 3D printing area, stained glass area, and much more. We had a lovely time chatting with their directors, Adam and Elise Spontarelli. Listen to our conversation about what Vector Space has to offer, as well as the benefits of using a makerspace here!
