Lily Jankowiak is a BCN major at the University of Michigan who went from being immersed in a culture where the use of drugs and gossip was the center of conversation, to finding herself at a place where she feels she can discuss the ideas that actually matter. She talks about her transition from Las Vegas to Ann Arbor and how she dealt with being at a place where she felt like an outlier. We also discuss the current political rhetoric and how we can do better to ensure all voices and ideas are heard.
