Recap: The Golden Knights began a three-game road trip in Utah to face the Mammoth. Vegas was awarded a cross-checking penalty but couldn’t convert their opportunity into a goal. After 20 minutes, the game was locked in a scoreless tie.
Vegas came out hot to start the middle frame. First, Jack Eichel opened the scoring 3:09 into the period, and Ben Hutton followed 19 seconds later. The Mammoth cut the Golden Knights’ lead in half but Eichel regained VGK’s two-goal advantage.
45 seconds into the final 20 minutes, Braeden Bowman scored his third career goal, giving his club a 4-1 lead.
The Golden Knights’ record improves to 10-4-6 defeating the Mammoth 4-1 in Utah. Next, up Vegas will take a short flight to Anaheim before returning back to Utah for another game with the Mammoth. Puck drop against the Ducks is scheduled for Saturday at 7 PM. (Recap by Jason)
Analysis: It’s been a rarity this season, the Golden Knights used a dominant 2nd period to grab and hold of the game. Their details were excellent all night and the offense came to life in the middle frame. From there they basically leaned on the Mammoth and made them look like boys to VGK’s men. (Analysis by Ken)

Ken’s Three VGK Stars
When the Golden Knights defense is in sync, which it has been for the last 4 or 5 games now, it has a way of making teams think it's harder to get the puck to the net than it is. Utah is falling for it hard tonight.
I'll explain more in the Periscope after the game.

Jack Eichel is absolutely on fire right now.
What a pass to Bowman and he taps it home.
4-1 VGK and this one is turning into a butt kicking.

Monkey off the back.
Eichel may never get an easier scoring chance than that.
1-0 VGK

Fundamentally sound first 15 minutes here for VGK. Good gaps, strong sticks, great puck support.
It will eventually pay dividends if they can stick with it.
