I used to run a studio on the Strip. Charged a membership, and people paid — not as a favor, but because behind that door was forty grand of equipment they couldn't afford on their own.
That business is dead. The equipment's in your pocket now.
So here's the question that runs this whole episode: if the tools are free and everybody's got them, why isn't everybody winning?
I got it backwards for a long time. I thought access stopped being worth money. It didn't. It just stopped being access to equipment. What people were actually buying was a reason to show up. A room where the work happened. Somebody who'd already built it handing them the blueprint instead of a pep talk.
The gear was the excuse. The room was the product. I just didn't know it.
In Vol. 17 I break down what I'm building next — the Cashavelli Frequency — and then I let you watch me make three real decisions about this show live instead of handing you the finished thing. Why I'm extending the runtime. Why one video version a week and not five. And why I'm bringing in a bench of specialists instead of doing every lane myself.
Plus DJ G Kid drops the Las Vegas Nightlife Minute for the weekend, and Turf Talk gets into the Southwest — why Zillow says we're down 4% while closing reports say we're up 7%, and the buydown move most buyers don't know to ask for.
In this episode

MORNING MEMO 7.24.26
THE MOVE: This weekend, don't produce anything. Build the room. Pick a physical spot and a time — a corner, a desk, a chair, 6am Saturday — and make that the place the work happens. Same spot, same time, non-negotiable. Then run one ritual tonight: whisper your own name before your next real decision, and ask what you would choose.
THE PRINCIPLE: Your brain runs on evidence, not opinions. That's why "I'm letting it go" does nothing and washing your hands after a draining conversation does something — one is a statement, the other is a receipt. And it's why the tools in your pocket haven't made you rich yet. You never had a tools problem. You had a room problem. Nobody sells you the room, so you've been building in a hallway alone and blaming yourself for it.
THE ASK: Reply and tell me where your room is going to be this weekend — the actual spot. I read every one. And in today's episode I run all nine habits, plus what I got wrong about this show's runtime and why two sources say opposite things about Southwest Vegas home values. Press play.
