For some, getting the COVID-19 vaccine has been a challenge. Whether they lack transportation to these locations or they simply cannot leave their homes. Many of these community members are among the most vulnerable Texans. But help is on the way.

AARP Texas has teamed up with Toyota to provide vehicles to Harris County Area Agency on Aging in Houston. These vehicles will help in Harris County Area Agency on Aging’s vaccine outreach efforts, including the ability to perform in-home vaccinations and provide vaccine information.

Paula Johnson, Bureau Chief, Harris County Area Agency on Aging, and Kareem Myers with the Toyota company joined host, Charlene James, to talk about “Vehicles for Vaccine Outreach” and who is eligible for this service.
