BAND BIO
The band was formed off the back of successes with our individual previous bands. With many gigs under our belts independently, as a unit we have now combined our experiences to produce Velour Fog, electrifying rock band from Hertfordshire. A Schwarzenegger of hard rock serving you an ass-whoopin of stone cold riffs, tasty licks, a smackdown of beats, and ball-dropping bass. Taking inspiration from 80s and 90s acts such as Guns N Roses, Primus, Van Halen, Yngwie Malmsteen, Alice in Chains and Ratt we are England’s answer to a generation just looking to have a good time through the power of rock. Our sound hits harder than a steel chair shot. The band is made up of drummer ‘Chainsaw Ali’ – a student of the pulse of the universe and its rhythmsJake, lead guitarist, vocals and songwriter extraordinaire known as ‘the fastest gun in the West’ with sick licks and flowing fingers gliding effortlessly like a panther in the ‘fog’.‘Hercules’, formerly known as Marshall, rhythm guitar and vocals, badass leather wearing college drop-out with spellbinding stage moves.Naois- ‘finger plucking bassist, sultry Irish looks and surprising stage get up’s, at home in the spellbinding purple interior of the ‘Velour Fog’.

Prestigious British Music Producer Nick Tauber started his musical career drumming in an R&B band in the late Sixties. But he soon gave touring and became a studio engineer and subsequently joined Decca as an assistant producer. This is where he came across Phil Lynott from Thin Lizzy, remixed their first album and the rest is history. Nick has had a career spanning from the 70’s to the present day, having produced hit records for some of the world’s greatest rock bands/artists including Thin Lizzy, Def Leppard, Toyah Wilcox, Marillion. Slaughter and the Dogs, Stiff Little Fingers and black metal gods Venom as well as having smash hits in the charts with top pop acts such as Toyah Wilcox and Bloodstone, earning him a reputation as one of the industry’s most respected producers. Flip to the present day and Nick still has his finger on the pulse, and a passion for working with young upcoming bands, as he continues to manage, produce and consult with new bands/artists.
