Welcome to a new edition of the Neon Jazz interview series with Veteran Jazz Singer Rose Mallett .. We caught up with her from her home in Palm Springs, California to discuss her new 2024 CD Dreams Realized, surviving COVID and her long life in music. She was born in Chicago and began singing in elementary school as a part of the school chorus. Rose’s family relocated to Los Angeles. At the age of 16, Rose formed an R&B singing group with three girlfriends. Years later, she was introduced to Marvin Gaye. From there, things would take off .. Enjoy this interview ..
