This Week on Veterans in Academics! 6/10/2021Hira Byrne Paulin is a Rehabilitation Counselor, working to support student veterans in accessing campus disability services, academic accommodations, and information on personal rights and protections.She is currently a Ph.D. Candidate at Northern Illinois University with research that focuses on Military Moral Injury.For those interested in her work, she provides consulting free of charge to military-affiliated persons who want information and resources regarding rehabilitation/disability services for service-connected disabilities and injuries through "Byrne disAbility Consulting". In addition, professionals can reach out to learn about military-related injuries and disabilities.She is proud to support the community that she is a part of as a granddaughter of a WWII Army Air Corps POW and spouse of a career active-duty enlisted Marine.
