VfB Stuttgart Americana

Peter joins Travis to talk some fact or fiction regarding the start of the VfB season so far! Should VfB start Fabian? Stay with a back four? Get a new Right Back? Start Ata?! Listen in and find out!

Matt, Ted, and Travis pop on to chat about both the match that was - a disappointing home loss to BVB - and the month that was - a disappointing three points out of a possible 12. Along the way, they ask "what's more likely" regarding a number of topics, ranging from points in the league to points scored on the pitch!

It's an odd week, so why not an odd episode as our technology at first doesn't work, then does work, then decides to end Travis probably just in time.

David joins us to chat the week that was, a great opening win versus Viking FK to start VfB's UCL run followed by a disappointing loss on the road at Stuttgart's home-away-from-home, Hoffenheim. Along the way, the guys chat the Frauen, consistencies in the first five total matches, and what should be concerning while what should provide hope going forward.

To paraphrase David - who enjoys the final word - "this is awkward."

Indeed!

Travis goes solo on this one as travel and technical issues keep Jake and David off the pod. As a result, Travis speed-runs through the week that was, from the Frauen "winning" a point in their third match of the season to the fellas getting their first win of the season at home in an impressive display versus the Billy Goats. We wrap up this briefest of episodes - you're welcome! - with a look at what's coming up ... our first UCL match of the season versus a club that plays in a way that may have us on guard!

We're back to chat the opening match of the season, a loss that was either better than it could have been or worse than it could have been ... depending on how you look at it. So how do we look at it? We look at the historic Frauen win, the sweet kit, and the good and bad of the opening match of the season that see's VfB in 18th place on the table.

We're baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack! Matt, Ted, and Travis take a sorta brief look at the season to come, including departures (see ya, Football God), arrivals (how do you pronounce Pejcinovic?), and expectations (another top four finish?!). It's a 30' opening episode that somehow, as usual, goes into added time!

With the VfB Frauen's historic first season heading into the Bundesliga, we thought it was the perfect time for an unofficial, uninformed, and unprepared look at how they started, how it's gone, and how they earned a spot in the top league in all of Germany football!

It's the final episode of 2025/2026 and Ted and Travis break down the entire season - with the help of Matt - from A to Z, covering the entire alphabet ... or at least as many of the letters as they know! Which is at least ... 1893 of them!

The guys spend way too much time talking about a 2:2 draw but hey, it was a draw that ended up with the fellas in the brustring earning UCL qualification for the second time in three years! Along the way Matt, Ted, and Travis all chat the match that was - an away match to clinch big time UCL money on the road at Frankfurt - as well as what this means for some of the fellas on the squad. When it's all said and done, the guys wrap up with a look at the bottom of the table and the greatest league in the world - the 2.B - before giving some unconvincing predictions for the Pokal finale against a tiny, tiny club from some place called ... Munich. Yikes!

The fellas break down the big happenings of the penultimate matchday of the season as the guys get a big win at home versus Bayer while the Frauen get a big win at home to seal the B.2 deal and earn promotion to the Bundesliga for the first time in club history! Along the way, Matt, Ted, and Travis wax poetic about RaMonster's play, Jeff's shut down D, Demi being flipping everywhere, and Deniz getting off the "struggle bus." The guys then dive into some Q & A and ponder who will be playing for Germany come this summer and wrap up with a look at the final - and huge! - match of the regular season, a Champions League deciding match at Frankfurt!
